This Chuck pot roast is very tender, thanks to up to 10 hours of slow cooking! It’s aged for 21 days, so the long braising time gives the roast a deep, beefy flavour.

Cooking Instructions

PREPARE FROM FROZEN.

MICROWAVE (1000 WATTS):

  1. Rinse sealed package under warm water a few minutes to loosen product from pouch.
  2. Cut pouch open and transfer contents to microwave-safe dish, cover loosely.
  3. Heat 25 to 30 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
  4. Turn roast every 10 minutes and baste with gravy to promote even heating.
  5. Stir and serve.

OVEN:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse sealed package under warm water a few minutes to loosen product from pouch.
  3. Cut pouch open and transfer contents to covered oven-proof dish.
  4. Heat 70 to 75 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
  5. Turn once halfway through cooking.
  6. Stir and serve.

SLOW COOKER: (for best results)

  1. For best results, use a medium size slow cooker.
  2. Rinse sealed pouch under warm water 30 to 60 seconds to loosen product from pouch.
  3. Cut pouch open and transfer contents to slow cooker.
  4. Add ½ cup (125 mL) water. Cover with lid.
  5. Heat on low 4 hours.
  6. Stir and serve.

NOTE:

Ensure product is thoroughly heated to a minimum internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before serving. Since appliances vary, these instructions are guidelines only.
